2011 Big Horn Lake Celebration
Horseshoe Bend Area
July 9, 2011

Triathlon: 7:00am to 10:00am on the lawn at the swim beach.
A swim, bicycle and run event for young and old.

Free Boat Rides: 8:00am to 4pm gather at the boat ramp staging area
The ride will last about 30 minutes from Horseshoe Bend Docks into the Canyon for about 5 miles then return. Spectacular rock formations and wildlife will be encountered. Life jackets will be provided. If you have a small child and have a small life jacket for them please bring it along. Pets will not be allowed on the boats.
There will be several types of boats giving rides so we will have easy access for anyone desiring to ride. We will make every effort to assist you in having a terrific experience!!!!!

There will also be a sail boat on duty for those desirous to go sailing. You will need to sign up for this since it takes more time and can not handle as many folks in the day.

About 100 volunteers in lime green vests will be on hand to assist you!

There will be a shuttle service to take you to your vehicle if walking is a problem.

The daily entrance fee of $5 will be charged per vehicle unless you have some type of park pass. This pass can be purchased as you enter the park. Go to for more details on fees.

The Horseshoe Bend Marina will be open to provide your food, drinks and water recreation related needs.

Should you desire to take a longer boat tour of the canyon Hidden Treasurer Charter Boat Tours has an office at the marina.

Please take time to thank those who sponsor the events of this day. On each boat will be a sign noting who the sponsor is. Many businesses drive their own boat and you may recognize your boat's captain as well!
