FOBHL Board Meeting Minutes
For Tuesday Feb 13,2007 at 7pm
BHCNRA visitor center
 
WELCOME:  Bob C.
 
BHCNRA Advisor:  Jeff Herriford – was in attendance for Darrell Cook. Thanks Jeff for your info and attending.
 
Reports by Directors with discussion:
 
Keith:
1.      NPS  followup on solicitor generals opinion
2.      ERG activity and presentations were considered
3.      Cheyenne mtg with WGF Director and others was discussed
4.      Feb 17 meeting agenda and our assignments were reviewed
5.      Joint meeting of MFWP, Keith, and Senator Baucus office in Bridger soon.
 
Ken:
1.      HSB cp grd update (Ken  and Bruce will join Rick L on a walk thru soon)
2.      Well HSB cp grd - who’s in charge of this now? ( Mike D. bidding in process move it near the beach area for easier access.)
3.      It’s a new day at BHLake June 23 - set up committees soon

4.      DVD  for MORE show and the one for the June 23 celebration
5.   MORE show Mar 16, 17, 18  in Billings, MT  booth 115
a.  helpers for booth thru email signup and also at Saturdays meeting they can signup to help
                        b.  exhibitor passes will be available for those who help in booth
c.   Ken checked with Meline about a secure spot for computer, projector  and etc
                       
 
Bob N:
1.      MORE show and BHC reprints/cards
2.      Bob N will sub for Bob C at the Saturday meeting  presentation. Bob C mother’s funeral is that day.
 
Bruce:
1.      Rick Lasko contacts
2.      Neighboring town gov contacts and  joint mtg soon
3.   Walk thru with Rick Lasko and Ken on the cpgrd design soon.
 
Bob C.:
1.      Concession and marina at HSB vending machines will be in place for food items and nonalcoholic beverages.
 
2.      Web sites   a. FOBHL  has a new look and is continually being upgraded.
 b. BHCNRA  will be making changes in the coming months
3.      Driftwood cleanup can start now with actual burning in early March. Helpers can signup by email also at Saturdays meeting they can signup to help
4.      Kane ramps projects to be underway by April 1
5.      HSB ramp silt removal still on hold  (we’re glad for all the water in the bay)
6.      Lake maps update:   NPS - the old time favorite is being reprinted with updates in two forms; a linen paper like before and a new synthetic water proof paper. They will be available this spring at the visitors centers
NWC ones – Initial work is being done by NWC students and FOBHL on the large water proof maps of the south end of BHLake. These maps will be large to allow for detail, helpful to fun, safer boating and more useful information.
They will be available from FOBHL at the June 23rd event.
 
 
 
Followup from last wks MORE show work meeting continued. Most details are taken care of  except for more helpers  needed to sign up to be in the booth for the 3hr shifts on Fri, Sat and Sun.
 
 
 
New Business:
 
1.      FOBHL board mtgs dates review March 13, April 10, May 8
2.      Bylaws of FOBHL 3rd  draft chgs being made
3.      Membership and checking account continues to increase
4.      Other Lake issues
a.       rock removal at mker 45 (it will be marked with a buoy)
b.      warning signs and markers in lake
c.       ice fishing and other recreation shore line travel regulation needs clarified with public notice given in writing.
5.    Board approved Membership year to start at Jan 1 and end Dec 31. We will ask members who signed up in 2006 to pay the 2007 dues now. This is to simplify the renewal process instead of having each ones come due on a separate anniversary date. Please contact one of us if you have concerns.
